Current Projects     Production of Artemisia annua in Africa Based on 10 years' solid experience, Mediplant is currently working on the selection of new productive hybrids of artemisinin which are especially well adapted to environmental conditions in various regions of Africa. We are also involved to give technical support for the installation or sevral hundred hectares of this plant. Mediplant closely follows the development of these new cultivations, from seeds through to harvesting.   Artemisia absinthium   Confidentiality Two new programmes were initiated, one requested by the pharmaceutical industry and the other by the agro-alimentary industry. They aim at varietal creation.   Other plants ... The concerns of Mediplant include future, new perspectives of application and production in the medicinal and aromatic plant sector. To this effect, our centre is active in the prospection of various species likely to be developing in the coming years.
